Deep purple. Spicy berry fruit aromas in structured and concentrated nose. The firm mouthfeel offers smoky toned black raspberry, bitter cherry, violet pastille and spicecake flavours gain sweetness on the back half. Finishes supple, juicy and long, with polished tannins weaving in late to add shape and gentle grip.

When to drink: 2016 to 2026

Stéphane Robert is a true star of the Northern Rhône, and when you try his wines they outshine even their prodigious reputation. A new, shiny winery has taken his production to a whole new level. Awesome.
