Chateau Caillou, 2005, Sauternes, France
A real treat of a mature sweet or “sticky” wine. Drink a small glass with desserts or rich canopes and Foie Gras. From the superb 2005 vintage.
Critic score: 16.5 Points Jancis Robinson
“Vivid, fresh aromas of lemon peel, vanilla, honey, fennel and light rhubarb. Full-bodied and medium sweet, with a dense palate of dried lemon, sugar and spice. An earlier drinker. Best after 2009. 2,000 cases made.”

Magnificent yellow gold. Highly endearing fruity nose suggestive of citrus and exotic fruits. On the palate, lovely liqueur-like sensation with upfront freshness. More of the same aromatics with delectable honeyed notes on the finish.
